I (Yousuf Philips) started YPI in 1998 with the intention of providing Qbasic programmers with source code which would help them create better programs. In addition to this, I was programming in Qbasic and was newly introduced to the capabilities of the internet, so I built the YPI website to be my symbol online.

    YPI mainly has been creating graphics utilities for the loading of graphics files into Qbasic. Graphics utilities have been made for the following files.

    File Viewers for ZIP and RAR have also been created. It is my plan to compile all of these graphics utilities, file viewers & other source into an outstanding Qbasic Library.

    In my attempt to also help Qbasic beginners, I have written 4 tutorials on different aspects of Qbasic programming (but never got around to completing them, because no one asked me to).
